tl;dr - I'll just agree because them's a lot of words right there and some of them have many letters, maybe you should be a lyricist?
but yes I like it when they do that thing where the words make nice sounds to fit the music, I generally care less about the actual content of lyrics. i.e. what the 'story' is about or whatever. At least the specifics anyway, having an over-arching theme is obviously helpful, well sometimes it is.

These comment are too long for me to read at work, but honestly I haven't read the lyrics of brothers and since English isn't my mother tongue they just went over my head (takes several, very fucking many listens for lyrics to sink in for me). And because of that that song is just a snooze fest to me atm. Like, couldn't they spice it up a little bit? I'm not asking for prog here, just some momentum

I like the belters, like The Man Himself or In The Wake of Your Leave, but I miss the energy the guitars brought. It's not like guitarwork was special or anything, the album is just lacking in that aspect

a few listens through and this is handily my tentative AOTY for now. somehow everything and more I wanted to see this band evolve into, retaining all their charms and expanding into a more distinct summation of their influences. Dave's lyrics have always hit the sweet spot but the scale of the storytelling here is incredible
in other words, brrrrrr music gorgeous

Being that Go Farther in Lightness was my album of the decade, I'm a little nervous to spin this.

I love 'tend the Garden'. The outro almost give me Marvin Gaye vibes.
