Yeah... I just realised that. A few minutes ago I was forcing myself to go through this again and maybe find something to love. Now I spin Here in After and I get hooked all the time all the way even though I've heard that hundreds of times before. Fuck. This album is not in the same league.

You're all great, but Obituary and Deicide both have 2 albums each in their discography that are straight fucking classics (Deicide arguably has 3 that fall into 'classics' with Stench of Redemption)

like unquestionably immolation are a better band overall than deicide or obituary
but the emotional attachment i have to the first deicide cant really be matched by any other dm record aside from maybe altars, the first 2 autopsy, and unquestionable presence

the first 3 obituary are all enjoyable romps but i dont really have sentimental value there, other than slowly we rot which totally blew my mind first time i heard it
this is funny but in 9th grade i had a hot topic gift card and tried to order a cause of death shirt and it was stolen from my fuckin cart while ordering it
