Levinson is already hit-or-miss, but having Weeknd call shots too is a recipe for some real garbage. They are gonna crucify this show, rightfully so too.

Agreed, especially when the “shots” Weeknd is calling seem to just be enabling Levinson’s more questionable whims. At least with Euphoria, in all it’s excess, there were so many women being like “chill bro” when he went too far. Weeknd is gonna be like “hell yeah and then I should DONKEY PUNCH her”

It wasn’t that woke, it was just left-edgy lol. In fact, I think one of the most valid criticisms of it is that sometimes the subject matter seemed at odds with the diversity of its cast and themes. Levinson alienated some cast members by making choices that weren’t “woke” enough. Barbie basically got written off the show because she couldn’t comprehend a story arch where the body-and-sex-positivity mascot turned out to be an imperfect human being.

Yeah that's a really good way to put it. The show (or Levinson) has a serious issue conflating PERSONALITY with DYSFUNCTION and this makes me wonder what the show is trying to say . . . (I suspect it just wants to 'show' shit)
