Quite a provocative opinion yea but to each his own. As much as I love Lateralus, I think Orestes is one of the best songs he's ever taken part in. So moving and beautiful.

Like, Lateralus is awesome with it's technicality and songwriting complexity (especially considering that it's coming from a multiplatinum band), but this record for me feels a lot more personal while still having some of the layered songwriting that would appear later on Lateralus
