Commenting here to make known that despite his original score of 2.0 and threat to lower it to 1.5, Colton has indeed bumped his score to 2.5 and that counts as a Win in my book. Praise be to the lord 🙏🏼

This could be better than Oblivion Access

I would say it is already better than OA. This is really good stuff.

Man... I really don't know how I feel about this album. Listened to it once and thought it was decent but here I am listening to it again and really just enjoying the atmosphere.

Or in Colton’s case, live soft, die serving ice cream

Reduce this to 10 songs and it’d be close to a 4 - the first six songs really show how consistent and enjoyably varied this could have been.
Then there’s a pair of good tunes near the middle and the last two are also solid.

Still haven’t tried this - Doof, what’s your bet on a Boney rating?

3.5 if you’re being saucy.
It’s a lo-if grab bag with medicated sounding vocals, sort of like Eels mixed with lo-if hip hop and Elvis Depressedly/ComaCinema lyrics/atmospherics
It’s way too long an album for this vocal delivery, going to make a 10 or 11 song playlist from it and possibly that will help up my rating to a 3.5
Great music match album cover

The more lo-fi indie and hypnagogic pop stuff you’ve listened to the less this will blindside you though
His hip hop stuff definitely impresses me more have to say

yea this could have been cut down by a half dozen tracks
any similar lofi/hypnagoogahgic artists?

To be fair this is pretty scattershot so one song will remind me of one thing and another something totally different.
I guess it reminds me of a mix of The Garden, Flotation Toy Warning, Elvis Depressedly/Coma Cinema, Dean Blunt and Eels the most (no one say Beck)
Rating bump, listening to an abridged version of this really helped - for the record tracks 1-6, 10-11, 13, 18-19 in that order, flows fine

No one talking about the Droog, LUM, Billy Woods track? Was a pleasant surprise.

@Doof: I understand your criticisms but I am perturbed that “discard” was omitted from your hypothetically truncated track list. That’s probably my favorite song here and one that I assumed was relatively unanimously considered a top tier track on this, even by naysayers (but perhaps I’m mistaken on that account).

it said to discard it ;)
Listening now: oh yeah, it's the most emo'y/sad boi alt rock one
Exactly the type of tune to clog up the tracklist - Elvis Depressedly do it better for me (just minus the scratching)
