Oh "Silk In the Strings" is the heaviest track they have ever created. "Aphids" and "HolyRoller" come close, but "silk" hits harder to me for some reason, maybe because it is faster in some parts than anything else they have done before.
Def "Silk" my favorite track so far. It F*cks super super hard my friends, as the kids say these days.

Yellowjacket is the only song I don't like. The spoken word parts don't work at all for me, and the chorus doesn't fit with the rest of the song. It's just a really messy track overall. Breakdown is nice though.

Yeah @Dathvada321, the chorus is what really threw me off about the track ("yellowjacket"). Seems like it doesn't really mesh with the rest of the song very well.

@outliers so true. It’s such a hype ending to such a killer opener.

yeaaaah on "SunKiller",@Garth. I thought she repeated it too many times at first (the line at the end, "sunkiller put me to sleep." , but now that i return to the track again, it really works.
Lyrics are great on this track too, as well as Courtneys vocal range. Maybe the best vocals in this track on the entire album , eh?

My roommate said some of the vocals in The Summit sound like Shakira and now I can't unhear it.

Yeah I thought the breakdown was gonna come earlier but upon repeat listens, it really works. Gets me even more hyped and I just love the vocal effects.

Title track is quickly becoming my favorite. Absolute bop and a half < 3

Yeah @ JayEnder, the title track is something else! Such a lovely track, sorta reminds me of trustfall in a way. I cried a little bit the 1st time hearing this track because it was so beautiful.
The guitar solo was a nice thing to witness, and the chorus is probobly my favorite chorus on the entire album.
"Blood in my eyes will run
An eternal blue sun to illuminate old wounds
I wish my blood would slow down"

Fucking hell, Chan 5'd this the madman.
Gonna bump this a bit too, I didn't like Holly Roller at first but it's a fun bouncy track.
Circle's chorus is great, also a grower, and World also fucks.
Secret Garden still my favorite, Constance is absolute class, above anything else.

Have you heard the version with the Ryo feat.?
Those are some minty lows.

the way they released this annoys me
shouldn't have put out 5 singles

Only reason they released so many singles is cause the pandemic delayed it and they had to stay relevant.

also not digging the overly heavy parts, they sound forced at times rather than natural
the poppy stuff is excellent though, wish they'd just lean fully into that

Really @scoot? I thought they did the heavy sounds more natural. Although i might be a bit biased because i have been listening to their "older" stuff compulsively since they came out.
Also, which is everyones favorite "softer/popish" track?
I personally prefer "The Summit" over "Secret Garden".

We Live In A Strange World is the most underrated popish track on here. That chorus is the catchiest on the entire album
I felt the same way Scoot did at first, but the heavy stuff meshes so well with their poppy stuff. Hated Circle With Me initially bc it sounded so forced to me, but now I love it especially in context of the whole album.

I really liked circle with me upon the 1st few listens, then kinda burnt out on it very quickly.
It has an almost 80's vibe chorus, reminds me of ...tears for fears or some other popular 80s band. Anyone else sense this in the chorus?
The lyric in which she states, "take my place as god" , is quite compelling though....
