"so now sowing admits he did a shallow take just to rush out a review"
Not exactly, but if everyone is going to bitch about it then I'll see if someone else wants the mantle. Honestly there's not many things more obnoxious than posting on someone else's review and saying, "man I wish someone else would have reviewed this", so I'm just trying to give the people what they want.

I'm very curious to hear this on my own. A lot of different opinions on this album flying around the internet. It's hard to trust every critical review of it because people are factoring in more than just what the music is in a lot of those takes.

There's a 10 song album here that's amazing, but it is bloated with filler

“it's cool how he put someone accused of multiple sexual assaults on here, truly a genius artist of our generation and worthy of our collective time and attention!”
And you have people here justifying that on account of his mental health. When he called chattel slavery a choice and supported Bill Cosby, I assume it was the same thing. Pathetic.

Yeah Idk I just don't give a fuck who an artist decides to chill with, that kind of thing has never prevented me from enjoying their music. Like, if you focused on the personal lives of most of your favourite artists I'm sure by your own metric you'd have to stop listening to half of them. A lot of great art has come from morally questionable or downright awful people. That extends to all mediums too, and beyond even entertainment.

Kanye albums always had at least 50% filler, so this aint nothing new. The problem with Donda is the lenght: 108 minutes of Kanye-ism is too much to take even for his die-hard fans, let alone a curious listener, like myself. Pick 4-5 tunes to try, and if you like it, go further. Otherwise, forget about it.
