There are a ton of TDH parallels that this album has, yes. But I feel like as a narrative piece, it is more in-depth and cohesive than what TDH has offered recently. I can personally see how this album can be divisive and considered a slog, but if you go into it with a mindset open to narrative, it works. I think the album as a whole is a pretty incredible journey, whereas singular tracks do not stand up on their own besides a few (WJMJ III and IV come to mind as ones that do stand up on their own).
Overall, its a very dense piece of music with obvious emphasis on deep thinking and lyrical introspection and analysis. But I can totally understand that a lot of people are not keen on that.
