Put this on during a highway ride with friends and I could feel the car move gradually faster throughout do-re-mi and I wasn't the one driving haha.
also choruses like Mirror and Unfold do things to me
also also the uplifting trance in Something Comforting is so good
I love this

Saw him live in September, amazing show.
Mirror is such an amazing song. The robot breaking down on Wind Tempos guts me every time

I have tried getting into this record as I’ve heard it being praised a lot. Well produced, but a majority of the songs just feel sugary and generic to me. Love the intro, though.

agree it can be a bit too sugary at times but what do you think is generic about it?

I’ve tried this guy a couple times now and my thoughts have pretty much been that he’s the fucking worst

And it definitely struck me as generic

I see the special in Porter Robinson and Nurture was the most life-affirming album from last year. I don't get the "generic" criticism; for me, no one else sounds quite like him, and Mirror, in particular, has one of the most insidiously durable melodies I've ever heard.
