" You are quite unprofessional and keep in mind that we’re doing all in our reaches to make your ratings not count towards Metacritic. You were very biased and that did upset a lot of people, I mean, A LOT OF PEOPLE, so deal with the consequences."

To this end, producer/writer/stagnater-in-chief of today’s white girl pop landscape Jack Antonoff is less a distant architect and more a hands-on enabler, streamlining arrangements so minimal that each one feels like a direct extension of his own self-satisfied hands over lucrative ivories.
Perfect.
Lana sings, as usual, about living with a secret wildness, sacrificed to a neverending sequence of underwhelming highs and suburban tropes, and underscored by a contrarian ambivalence towards LA that will be immediately familiar to those lucky few who made it through Violet....
well said, but I think that's more in line with the themes of LFL and NFR than it is with those of Violet...
Now that we've mentioned "poetry" and "Violet...", in hindsight, that book was actually a masterpiece, especially when we compare it to this Chemtrails shit here...

Johnny luv u bby.

Heard the first song and couldn't go forward with the rest of the thing. What is her voice doing??? Why is she rasping?? I'll take your word for it that the lyrics and songwriting are bad too but man that misophonia got me with that raspy wheezy voice on White Dress.
|

Yeah, I couldn’t get past that first one either.

Yeah, the vocals on White Dress are practically unlistenable. Things get a little better from there, but not by much
