This is on par with SILY for me, sometimes even better. Weightless and always black are the only w.e tracks on here

Sadly I agree with you :'(
Most critics seemed to really enjoy this, but it seems to've passed the general public by. A real shame. This really is a perfect pop album. I'm cautiously optimistic that the Avs have at least one more stunner in them yet

3.7 is accurate y'all floaty sadboi simps (but SILY is probably marginally more overrated than this)
|
| |
SILY is just so iconic i find it hard to believe they could keep on par.

KKB are too sardonic for this soy-soap band to handle
and they're not that sardonic

Go listen to more shitty j-pop, Johnny!
|
| |
thing is that even the most plasticated of the shittiest of the most unlistenable of the jpops has less bland chords than this
|

It just totally baffles me how legitimately anyone with ears could call this bland
|
| |
bait but also accurate // the avalanches have always been bland as goldfish!? sometimes this is a good comf thing with good atmosphere n pacing like a pixar movie and sometimes it is a wow whatever not gonna remember that tomorrow thing like a dreamworks movie and both are applicable here

definitely not bait!
|
| |
SILY is anything but bland
|
| |
SILY bops harder and has more whimsy and these things make it better but ummm experts are divided as to whether they make it less bland
|
| |
if anything there's too much going on. it's like when you go to a soda fountain and fill your cup with a little from every spout. that shit ain't bland.
|
| |
but nah, i know it's basic to say, but the sheer amount of samples in SILY make it stand out, for better or worse. I think it's for better, but I'm not always feeling it
|
| |
this is a compelling argument and i am pondering it greatly
can many spouts make a bland soda experience not bland
can blandness be diluted by multiple outletsĀ
if one boi listens to all the bland albums all the time is his taste still bland
like mathematics, does all music have a common origin
if a bland album can prompt chonk discourse is it still bland
what a day.
