Basically. Also, I just listened to a bit of Sunbather for the first time in like a year today and it still goes way harder than this for me when referring to this post whatever style.

I think they call it Blackgaze, or whatever haha. Sunbather was another album that got tons of praise, but had little staying power for me. Can't remember a single song off that album.

I'm somewhere in the middle where I thought Sunbather was quite excellent, but I wasn't a super fan of it. Blackgaze in general has been a bit of a mixed bag, though it has birthed some promising acts.

On the topic of the post-hardcore side of this band, anyone looking to lock that genre's aoty neeeeeds to hear Colour in the Clouds - Inosculation

Okay the way they layer the vox over some of the rhythm sections... are they aof fans?

Probably, but theyre so good I think they surpass their influences in a lot of ways. Not that I'm a post-hardcore expert by any means, but I like to think to my ears know enough to know that album is something special.

I'd contest them being better than aof because I grew up listening to them, but so far, the album is really really good. Funnily enough, the only song I don't fancy so far is the first track. Elephant is fucking magnificent.

Oddly enough I never thought much of aof, especially after hearing first hand about how much of a tool Dallas Green is behind the curtain. And I definitely find colour in the clouds more interesting across-the-board.

Just wait tho, that album only picks up steam near the end. Last track will break your heart. Regardless, I'm glad someone caught wind of it. Cheers bruv!
