I dont got hate for tech. death at large. Archspire gets me wetter than a swim in the ocean. I find myself revisiting 'phagist almost yearly thinking I might suddenly dig them more but nope. Although the start of Only Ash Remains ruins me everytime.

there are only soo many tweedle dee guitar sweeps one can listen to before it gets samey as fuck. I appreciate the musicianship behind the guitaring and drumming behind tech death for sure, but it gets really boring really fast. these 2 albums set the groundwork and so many copy cat bands just ran with it that it got stale REALLY fast
