I'll go
Good Doc v Prosthetic = Good Doctor
Puzzle Box v Invasion = Puzzle Box, but very narrowly
Veil v Carousel = Carousel
The Strain v Nil By Mouth = Nil By Mouth
Host v Canary Yellow = Canary Yellow
A Cell Divides v Messiah Complex = Messiah Complex
Vector 3
Virus 3
Looks like it's a tie for me lol Both albums are really, really good.

My take on this is pretty simple. This album is an EXCELLENT sequel to Vector. Paired together, they're an unstoppable force of prog. Though Vector is honestly one of my favorite prog metal albums of ALL TIME, I feel more personally connected to this record for some reason.

agree 100% with the versus @kalkwiese
here are my issues with prosthetic (obviously just my opinions):
1) the chorus. lazy & repetitive, and the lyrics are lol
2) the guitar part at 3:47. shit is lame and grating as hell, who thought that sounded good?
3) the chuggy intro/outro, feels out of place on a haken album
honestly only solid part of the song is that bit at 4:18, tasty

For now I think every song is Vector is just slightly better than Virus, but I know the songs on Vector better so it's not that fair.

Messiah Complex’s ending chorus should’ve been more grandiose ala The Architect imo

Messiah Complex has some great stuff in it but it doesn't fully feel like a song to me. It's many great individual parts with a cool reprise of Cockroach King at the end. Maybe it'll click more after a few listens. The best written/crafted song in here is definitely The Invasion, killer track if maybe not the most exciting.

I liked this when I heard it, but I've had no wish to hear it again, at least not in full. I guess I like the music, but this style of prog just doesn't appeal to me much anymore.
Still, if I do chuck on any track I enjoy it fine. Imma just slap a 3 on this and leave it that

I'm thinking, if this was released by a band I didn't know and follow, would I be interested? The answer is, not much. I think it's a pretty disappointing release, and the weird thing, they did nothing wrong.

Well, that's pretty much me, this is the first Haken album I've gotten all the way through. I tried with The Mountain and Affinity but they weren't immediately gratifying for me so I kinda just left it

I think with more versatile and powerful vocals this band could be really special

I really don't want to rag on Ross as a vocalist but the more I listen, especially to this album, better vocals are sorely needed

Agreed tbh.

Like someone addressed the issue before, the lower register vocals sound great. Just not feeling the higher register vocals for the most part and that's due to a combination of vocal phrasing and their steady overprocessed sound in general, which unfortunately results in bringing out the worst of both worlds.
