anytime someone brings up fantano on this site I cant help but to laugh. that guy is the biggest pseudo intellectual and is no different than a half this site's user base.

wouldn't describe him as a pseudo intellectual tbh, he's just a dude with decent lexis and self-awareness who has opinions on music - so in that sense he is no different to half the userbase (although tbh he has concrete experience in music journalism pre-youtube)

Really digging how well the technicality blends into these catchy tunes. It isn't oppressive wanky prog, but it's still a dazzling display of musicianship. Growing.

This sounds v cheesy, which this band always has, but the grit in rody’s voice is gone and it’s just... idk man, I’ll sit on it a while and see if it grows

Rody's vocals sound better than ever imo. But then again, i only listened to this and Volition so far.

His range is a lot more smooth on this one, although you can tell he's stretching his voice hard in some places. It was super jarring at first, but I think it works better here with the instrumentals. Idk, I've been on this band's nuts since Scurrilous and I've listened to every album they've done.

This is hitting more solidly than anything else I’ve listened to from Protest the Hero. Perhaps I should backtrack and revisit.
