If this was appropriately trimmed to 10-12 tracks and maybe a b-side album released on the side of the other tracks, it could have been a stellar release.

New song is fun musically but didn’t care for any of the vocals To be honest
|

dj sabrina has a credit on the new track, why on earth is she associating with this band
|

I have nothing to add except I found out last week that these guys did a cover of Time Consumer by Coheed and Cambria and it's one of the worst things I've ever heard. It sounds like drunk karaoke.

Per Pitchfork: “Being Funny spends a good chunk of its runtime zeroing in on the style that marks a lot of the group’s biggest hits thus far: 1980s pop-rock shiny enough to soundtrack a Breakfast Club reboot, replete with wailing saxes, towering drums, and hooks as sticky as hair gel. Think Peter Gabriel’s So. Think Fine Young Cannibals’ “She Drives Me Crazy.” Think Rick freaking Astley. Think, well, the 1975: Several tracks sound like wiser and more naturalistic versions of the guitar-scratching funk found on their second album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.”
