--Sint you like Lana Del Rey I wouldnt talk if i were you--

Come on man, it's 2020, we can do better than band shaming now. Besides you've 4.5'd every trivium album in existence, I wouldn't talk if I were you.

@Nocte: Sint was being ageist, might as well throw one back at him lol

@Itwasthatwas: only one he didnt scream on was Silence in the Snow, there's plenty of it here.

Matts harsh vocals from 2008 to In Waves era were amazing live, I feel none of their records managed to capture his energy during that time.

Damn right they were. So glad I got to catch them during that time. Their setlist was fucking STACKED too.

Ascendancy had "cookie monster" harshes? What? Always heard that used for lows not the type of vox on Ascendancy.

I saw a Kirisute Gomen recording from that time that went off.

I wasn't at all being serious, just throwing some salt around.

Great review. Trivium has always had a special place in my heart, however, In Waves and Vengeance Falls didn't really do it for me. I had stopped listening to them altogether until Silence in the Snow, and they have been a pretty consistent 'in a thrash' mood spin since then. I'm really enjoying their current sound and hope they stick with it.

disagreements aside this is a solid review. its one of the more moderate takes I have seen from you, as opposed to giving ABR a 1.5 for some reason, lol.

The production is way too clean imo, it has some pretty cool parts but this production sucks away the heaviness of the record. It's cool how loud the bass is, but the records still misses a lot of low end imo. Matt sounds pretty good though.

I feel like Bleed Into Me would've worked very well as an acoustic, folky song. Would fit nice in the tracklist too
