Regarding Threshold, I remember their first four albums being lauded in the '90s, my favorites being Psychedelicatessen and Clone (great atmosphere).

Threshold have a lot of albums, it turns out. I've added them all and will just start at the beginning.

--Willie have you listened to Kingcrow's "Eidos"? That's a more hard rock oriented album compared to their latest, and its tastefully done. Not wanky--

I've listened to it, and I like it, but I never come back to it. I just like their new one a lot more. Maybe because it was the first one I heard, so that's kind of their 'sound' for me.

Good call, because their first 5 to 6 albums are my favourites

I listened to a few Threshold albums, and while I liked them, I never enjoyed any of their singers and vocal melodies very much. Too aor for my tastes.

I prefer anything that Threshold has done with Mac on vocals (R.I.P.) to this album. Seriously underrated band.

Put on "sisters of the dawn" and sing La isla bonita. Now you can't unhear it anymore. Thanks! 😁

I've been going back and forth on this album in the past week to be sure that my biases and instincts wouldn't trick me. An know I have no choice but to declear this album....fucking awesome. Everything I wanted from these guys and even more.

Well it took me years to fully appreciate Mosquito, maybe one day you'll come around this album too.

To me, taking a while to grow on you is a good sign of an album that will stand the test of time. The instant ones are too easy to get bored with as time goes on (not always, though. 90s Bad Religion is an obvious example).
