It's good they had this change tbh, at least this album is a nice break from staccato riffs and soaring choruses. Another album like that would have been boring

Alleviate, At The Bottom, Distant Bells and Foreigner might be the best stretch of 4 songs this year

The track that rages me the most is The sky is red. It starts great but lasts so little ... until those last four minutes, which I think are almost the best of the album.
An album that could be much more but it only stays in good.

'I like to take my time with every album before properly judging it. Maybe like 10-15 listens at least
How're you liking it Titan?'
enjoyed it more than i thought after one listen. i agree with you on judging or rating an album, need 10 good spins or so. that chorus in alleviate is pretty awesome.

Other Leprous albums I start out enjoying, but then they grow into the love territory over time. I loved this one from the beginning, but I worry it could grow off of me or not have as much staying power.

+1, not sure i would include foreigner in that yet but the first three are the best stretch of the album easily

Love how the album becomes progressively more intense, until the last few minutes sound like the apocalypse is coming.

Yea, a friend of mine called it a post rocky pop album that's falling into madness. It fits perfectly imo

I'm gonna stop listening to this album, after listening to it about 20 times I have to say that instead of growing on me, it's getting worse.
I can't stand the progpopy elements.

I'm a fan of Einar's voice and the album, but good God. Alleviate's chorus and that "allulLlalluUllLll!!" is the most grating thing I've heard in a while

Singles were offputting - but after listening to the album from front to back, this is easily Leprous' most focused and consistent release yet. It flows almost seamlessly from start to finish and The Sky Is Red is probably the best song they've written in a very, very long time. It's like listening to them score a fucking Dark Souls game.
Also, the band is literally all over the record. It's more vocal-centric, sure, but people got way too overdramatic about this being an Einar solo record. This is 100% Leprous.
Distant Bells, At The Bottom, and The Sky Is Red are the highlights.

Distant Bells, The Sky is Red and Observe the Train are the highlights for me. I honestly like all the songs, but those three are simply mindblowing. The way they create and modulate the mood in those tracks is IMO the best they've done in that aspect to date. And I 100% agree, The Sky is Red is the best song they've written since Bilateral, perfect from beginning to end.

Man, I hope it gets real fucking better after "Below"; because that track was a wet, melodramatic dog fart.

Of course Kalk, at first (with the singles) I wasn't too sure about the whole direction they were taking, but when I listened to the album everything clicked for me. It could probably be my favorite Leprous release as well, and an AOTY contender.
