This is a fantastic record and it's fairly obvious the band are big thrash fans themselves, not "genre tourists". This is a legit thrash album that could easily fit right in with early Metallica, Motorhead or Voivod no problem. The songwriting, hooks and energy put this in the upper echelon of this decade's metal albums for sure

Considering that half of this sounds like a somehow more underwritten version of something The Sword could have written like a decade ago, no, not really. In fact, if the latter had released this album, I bet literally no one would have cared.
