it fits the southern rap scene perfectly imo, with an old school feel. Not really comparable to Taboo
|
| |
Well it's the same artist so of course its comparable - but ur right it's a bit of a swerve out of that lane, which is possibly why my feelings are strong. After taboo he could have just as easily gone the opposite direction and made something more in line with Vince staples

In which case I probably would have liked it. It was like a 50/50 split on taboo between grating aggro degeneracy like this (which I did not enjoy) and more experimental stuff (which I did)

This is a banger album, not a serious album. I like it for what it is. Maybe next one will be more like Taboo
|
| |
Damn bro that changes everything I guess I like this now
|
| |
This bangs
|
| |
Are bangers and seriousness mutually exclusive?

i mean, what's not to like? it's a cool and vibrant expression of the Miami rap scene and it's got a lot of cool lyrical content. the beats are sick too idk
