New album Long Stories dropped today and it's really great. More chill and beat-driven than this, but a similar style in general.

I know this may be a weird thing to say but I can usually tell how much I'm gonna like stuff after about a couple listens.

depends on the record yea. if it's a sound design genius like Amon, I know it would take more than inital listens to have the record fully reveal itself to me

Same. I try to listen to something at least 2-3 times before I give a final verdict.

wont be able to say for certain which album i like better for a while but as companion pieces they are insanely cohesive together and im finding it hard to view them separately
the art for both albums is so beautiful

Yes, it's gorgeous, man

all the tension built between this and the first 2/3rds of the new one make Dust For A Duster feel so climactic and heavy

Agreed Pots. Tobin's music has been one of the best things of 2019, really glad he returned so strongly.

I also think Feed might be one of his best closers ever. One of the few criticisms i've ever had of Amon Tobin is that his closers often feel weak in comparison to the rest of his albums. Even felt that on this one but yeah Feed is perf.

At The End of The Day is also a perfect closer tho

Did any of you check his Only Child Tyrant album from this year too? It sounds like Hella or Battles covering old Amon Tobin songs or something lol
