I think I've seen you around this scene every now and then, but nice to Make Contact (and appreciate the kind words!)

v much get where you're coming from taking a long view on things, but I get the feel that this whole situation has been so drawn out and wearying that being able to call it quits at all must relief enough to be ~right, if sad. thank goodness we're getting actual music along with it

as for this album, having got into it relatively recently, I'm curious and apprehensive and very much ready to see how it ages with me. couple of cuts I don't much care for, but there's so much magic here and my rating should probs go up

I mean, that’s your right luci, but I think you’re probably just missing out on what’s already some of the best music this year, and if they ever do make up (which seems like a near impossibility at this point; with Aeon Station being released they’d probably just write entirely new music if they ever did get back together) you’ll still get those versions anyways.

i sort of agree with luci of holding up some hope we hear the true versions one day - if a guy on some random 90s indie page on facebook is to be believed, he is friends with the both of them and is CONVINCED the album will come

i once sent the wrens an email to let them know how much this album meant to me, and i think greg replied to say thanks. he has never sent a follow up mail since, not even to tell me what he thinks the prognosis is on the current situation. that's all the intel i can offer.
