Thanks! It's funny, I've seen so many genres and bands used to describe this. First I thought it was blackgaze, then some 80's tribute, then metalcore, then Cult of Luna meets Katatonia.
But the Canadianness really shines through.

Hey and you are forgetting how much Gojira has been talked on this thread. on my early soundoff I wrote "if Gojira and Deftones had a blackgaze child" lol oh well...even yesterday listened to it again and it still does...but I get noone sees it at all.

You're really dense if you don't hear the blatant Gojira riffing in "Regret." It's pretty overt in the first half of the song already but the riff at 1:25 I'm pretty sure is an actual riff Gojira have played before. This isn't necessarily a bad thing (if they'd harmonized some of those riffs I think it would've been fantastic), but to act like the influence isn't there is really confusing to me.

its amazing how gojira fans think they're the end all-be all of metal. they made one okay album in 2005 and recycled the same shit afterwards.
