It's such a great song and easily overlooked

glad I got it instead of Fall Into The Light when I saw em, even though that's a good jam too

I far prefer Fall Into the Light. That's my favorite DT song since Nightmare to Remember. I don't mind either way though, since at very least this album is all pretty good. I would only be mad if they pulled out an Astonishing track.

FITL is veeery similar to Master of Puppets. I really dig that

Agreed, that's what I thought when I heard it. Master of Puppets is probably my favorite metal song of all time so I dig.

Finally got around to listening to this. It’s weird this band stuck with James all these years and let him ruin so many albums. Also what the hell is with these drum sounds, sounds like they could have been totally programmed.

Have you heard the guy they had before him? They don't stress out about vocals, clearly.

"Have you heard the guy they had before him? They don't stress out about vocals, clearly."
Vocals usually take up less than 20% of their songs anyway. Kinda feel bad for James tbh. What does he do during those 5-10 minute instrumentals?

taking a good shit should be possible

For every song? How does he create that much volume

High protein diet probably. Labrie seems like a fairly jacked dude.

You need fiber and water though, otherwise you'll just be constipated

He always goes backstage, I think he just needs to cool down from singing parts he can't sing anymore... Would like to see them again live but I'm not willing to pay 60+ euros when the vocals are so bad...

I thought they were strong on this album. Live could be another story of course...

Dude's pretty active live. Definitely works up a sweat so I don't begrudge him getting breathers during instrumental parts.

They were inoffensive here, thanks to a shit ton of effects and Melodyne

All the effect ruins his performance in my opinion, wish they used it less. I thought he sounded better on The Astonishing, even with that funny auto-tune glitch

Same, and just did.
Out Of Reach is one of their best ballads. Awesome Petrucci solo as well.
