Kind of agree, but to be fair Erase is one of the best songs they've ever written, and this album is a lot more of a cohesive whole than Ixora was.

Yeah, I'd agree that this a more cohesive whole. With Erase and Lavender, Ixora might hit higher heights individually, but I think it was the perfect stepping stone between YAMS and Blushing. The experimentation and variety is what made songs like Erase and Lavender so good, and it's fully embraced on Blushing.

Bugger, saw the review and got excited but no, really not my thing. Sounded very 'the 1975' to me, or are 'the 1975' trying to sound like Copeland? No, saw these guys with Anberlin once, not what i remember of them

A lot of similar techniques used but the song writing and tonal structure seems way different than the 1975 to me

I’m a sucker for dreamscape-y type stuff in any art medium, so this is right up my alley. Vocal effect wears on me sometimes and there’s def a little cheese to the lyrics, but this thing is great in general

I've found that As Above has grown off me slightly, but On Your Worst Day is becoming one of my favorites. It just crushes me.

What I've found is that right as one song starts to grow off me and I jam the hell out of another song or two, I miss the songs that I started ignoring. It's a cycle that keeps me listening to this consistently.

Gave this a break for a couple of days and now it sounds even lovelier than before. This could very possibly end up as my AOTY.

Listened a couple more times while working today and I think this might be starting to click.

Most of this is a bit slippery for me so far but "As Above, So Alone" is real fuckin' good.

Erase and Colorless are their best songs but I think Colorless still comes out on top

Yeah, it's one of those records I always listen to whenever I'm feeling blue; barely realised yesterday that I hadn't rated it yet

I get what they're doing here and on ixora but while it's very technically proficient it just doesn't vibe with me
