The biggest reason I stopped liking FIR was Ronnie's vocals, and DIYLF's vocals were teetering on the edge at the same time. I think aside from that, the album would probably be a 3 or 3.5 for me.

Son, the skill it takes to get to 13 pages for an album that already has a dozen reviews in one day is remarkable

I admit though I'd enjoy all the other albums more if the vocals were more tolerable.



I also agree with you agent, they are hard to avoid because they are so in your face in the mix that if you don't like them it really takes away from the enjoyability of the listen.

This album and WtF are the only 2 that doesn't bother me Vox wise... my reasoning for this album is it has strong nostalgic value for me and it works better with the sound of this album. Power Metal-ish

The moral of the story when it comes to this review is: don't contest the merits of an album people hold nostalgic value to, you'll get ghost negs the world over. DEFINITELY don't disagree with them on album rankings either.
