^ I remember his exact words, haha. "You guys are so quiet waiting for Ron to tune up than you were for Xasthur's entire set. *audience laughter* That's not meant to be taken as a compliment."

I felt bad for Xasthur actually. FFS, even w/earplugs on, I could hear the crowd behind me bleed just enough in the mix that I almost got distracted for the whole set. It's like the crowd treated them as some bar band playing their acoustic folk doom bluegrass music that was conveniently placed between Völur and Kayo Dot for the purposes of not boring the crowd in between the two sets. They should've been the first band to play that night honestly.

I listened to Library Loft a few times this week for the first time in a while. It's great but Madonnawhore and this are definitely a step up in most ways, especially this. One of the best albums of the decade along with the last three by KD.

In the L..L..Library Loft is one of my least favorite KD/Driver/motW albums tbh.

To each there own. Other than Part the second, I think this is one of the most uninteresting albums of his career.Though I cant ask for much more from the guy after so many superb stylistic developments.

Agreed Alex, along with Coyote and Tartar Lamb II for me but none are subpar.

The first Tartar Lamb is great. A nice bridge of sorts for the solo album and Dowsing -> Blue Lambency.

Coyote is more flat-out impenetrable than sub-par tbh

Everytime I wake up all I hear inside my head is Driver screaming for help and that he's disappearing.
