yea the only thing similar with insomnium is the name, this band has a completely different vibe and energy. just saw em this past weekend their first time headling in the US and it was nothing short of amazing

Looks like they aren't. They are playing Paragon, Reckoning, Friction, and Solemn from the new album. Did not expect Friction and Solemn, that's awesome.

the setlist definitely delivered. was really nice getting to see em play for over an hour instead of the 30 or so minutes they'd get opening up for Dark Tranquility or Insomnium.

Allegaeon and Omnium Gatherum was without a doubt one of the best shows I ever witnessed. It might even be THE best show I've ever witnessed. Everything sounded amazing. You get the impression that the recorded albums actually have trouble capturing how good these guys are. It felt like I was in heaven the entire time. They were playing everything perfectly a few feet from my face. It was the kind of show that was so good that no one will believe you unless they witness it for themselves, because it reaches the peaks of a dream come true for musical performance. These bands are in peak form.
