I'm actually just really dumb and thought you edited the 'bible camp' comment into the one for butcher when you actually just made two different comments. basically just ignore me/carry on

@Rowan nah it's not lol the title is lyrics from the song, it's basically just a short lil epilogue to the album

I've always considered CFUTF, specifically January 1979, to be the best starting point. Especially with the video where Aaron dances all crazy, watch that and you'll have a pretty good idea what they're about

Guys. I've heard the album too, and it's actually totally kvlt. Just dark, heavy Gorgoroth shit with Aaron shrieking indecipherably in the background until the band breaks out with a brief but stunningly melodic take of Linkin Park's In the End before returning to black metal.
This shit is crazy, guys.

Fishing's right. That's the exact reason I bumped Brother, Sister to a 5 recently.

Excellent review of a great e.p. To me, mwY is the absolute best band. Aaron's lyrics are insightful, honest, and aid in my pursuit of G-d (or rather his pursuit of me). The music serves to punctuate the feeling of Aaron's lyrics perfectly. You summed up the mood from the end of Rainbow Signs and the progression into the e.p. well. 'Eye of the storm' is a fitting description of where we are in their recent release of music and what is next to come. Band statements indicate that the next album will be heavy, and I CANNOT wait for its release. I appreciate the detour that 'It's all crazy...', and 'Ten Stories' was, but Pale Horses is the best thing since 'Brother, Sister,' and mwY seem to be in a groove. I will forever buy their albums no matter the shifts in style because of the quality of what they can produce. 'Julia' has wet my appetite, and October 5th cannot come soon enough.

I can't wait either. Thrilled, tbh.
I'm not a spiritual person by any means, but Aaron has this very specific... feel to his musings and exploration that is in its own league. Just the way he goes about projecting his thoughts is unparalleled, imo. I agree that the music is very complimentary to his style. This band has been seasoned so well, it is admirable that the band are still at putting out such quality of work this deep into their careers.

Damn, I wonder if Tan but not quite Yellow Spider is a prequel to Yellow Spider from B,S. That could be so cool.
