sweat and odor aside, it’s near a nice beach and that’s prim
plus for all of the valid butt rock complaints, you can curate who you wanna see cuz lineup conflicts are always a thing lol. Def staying for the mosh stages cuz my old ass already saw most of those legacy ass bands

This band seems to be throwing a small show where the price of entry is a ticket to their other show in the area (Philly) and two soup cans for the local food drive.

These guys were great when I saw them at warped tour. The turnout to their set was on the lower side though and it being in Detroit, which I believe is their hometown, kind of pissed them off. The lead vocalist at one point said he was disappointed in Detroit and the fact that people would rather listen to “emo garbage” while pointing towards Alesana’s set. Hilarious stuff

I’m pretty sure they’re from Jersey but that’s a funny story and sounds very on brand for these guys lol

The footage from the recent shows has been rough. As much as I love this era of the band I think bringing them back was the wrong move, especially given how perfectly they ended things last time, whilst they still had something to say and before they became just another band on the hardcore nostalgia circuit.

Greg is proving to be on the right side of history, then.

More reason to listen to Greg's other great projects. Unlike Ben he refuses to rest on his laurels.

Also, while I love Dimitri's work on this record, his singing is rather limited. Greg is better and way more versatile.

Agree with both of you. Post Dillinger, Greg put out 2 very impressive solo records and that EP, the second Killer Be Killed record (never really had a lot of love for this band, but I think this album is much better than their first), a very solid second Black Queen record, and ofc Better Lovers.
Ben had Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, which didn’t even come close to living up to the hype, and plays rhythm guitar for Suicidal Tendencies, which is a band I never cared for.
Idk ever since Ben called Greg a hired gun I’ve gone cold towards him.

Seeing Greg's solo work live was so good, made a lot of it click for me. Plus that first Black Queen album I like as much as any of Dillinger's work.
