Is the term "scene" still used anymore? I thought that was a mid to late 2000s thing

@swipe and spirit: It's not their most popular song, In the End is. While KAP has 107 million views on Youtube and ITE has 104 million, In The End also had an entire movie written around it + it was used as a WWE theme for a while. Hell, even the title track of Set the World on Fire was in one of the Transformers movies, and BVB wrote the song "Unbroken" specifically for the first Avengers soundtrack (Also Perfect Weapon was in Saints Row 3). They've more than broken out of the scene in both numbers, scope, and musical style.
@bloc: It's used in many different contexts, but the 2005 era scene lingo isn't used as much anymore.

Yeah, it's all about the cyberpunk/cybergoth now.

Fair enough, but In The End is still from their scene phase. I'm just suggesting a reason why most people who have heard of BVB who aren't necessarily fans identify them by the cover art of their first two releases.

@Dinosaur: I like the Cyberpunk / Cybergoth trend tbh
@Drifter: LEAVE US ALONE!
@swipe: I'd actually argue that In the End is what broke them out of the scene, it's the album that brought them into the mainstream (along with Avengers track)

@swipenet don't hate on set the world on fire's cover faget you know that's the goat

I'm sorry, but "Knives and Daggers" is like their "Cherry Pie". Not saying they haven't had significant successes or whatever since, but I see that song referenced so much by people not familiar with BVB. I think you being a fan has colored your perception a bit. Numbers isn't a good example. My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Paramore were all platinum selling bands, and still very scene. Lyrically they still have the same scene-y material. These guys are scene af. Looks, I'll give you a slight pass, because they're dressed like 1987 Girls, Girls, Girls-era Motley Crue.

I like Shadowrun, so I guess I'm all right with the Cyberpunk/Cybergoth stuff. It can be hot af if done right, but it is mostly definitely not done right.
