New song is better than Blow Me but it also sounds like something off of Imaginary Enemy. Not too bad

Can confirm it being really good. And they most likely will never do something like this again.

It didn’t seem to get them any praise or recognition whatsoever. I think their primary fan base found it to be too much of a departure from what they wanted to hear

A real shame too since I think some of the best work of their career is on this. Upper Falls is legit, for example.
Seems like all the fanbase wants is the first two albums over and over again

Is that surprising at all? The early 2000s Emo pop genre bands are strictly looked upon for nostalgia by most people.

it's definitely a bummer that they just regressed to their boring ass Feldmann sound after making such a huge swing with this
neither single is very good and the track titles are insufferable. also the album's fucking called Heartwork... gonna be bad

Oh that name is dreadful

Yeah, the new album sounds like a desperate attempt to get back to their glory days...
Even the artwork is basically a reference to their second album

I’m expecting Heartwork (ugh) to be an Imaginary Enemy II at this point

You crazy for this one Bert. This album is probably the result of one day Bert waking up and wondering, “What if the used was actually King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard?”. Fittingly on one of the last songs on the album Bert repeatedly yells over again “We are The Used!”, as if to remind himself and any one listening that yes in fact this is The Used still. This album reminds of how after their first two albums, which initially hooked me in to the band, they released Lies for the Liars. Which was musically quite different from their self-titled and In Love and Death. Which honestly to me was a pretty big disappointment. I wonder if this album is the reason Quinn quit the band??
