individual moments maybe but they all work in the greater soundscape.

F#A# will always be best Godspeed. Y'all need to calm down.

that's my issue: for me, those boring moments add up to nothing
|
| |
I get it, awfasfbs, you're still god awful.
|
| |
This whole album is boring front to back, with the exception of like 2 minutes in the last song

So my vinyl was unexpectedly processed the same day it arrived in the mail. Sounds amazing, love how every song is just a wall of sound. There aren't even really amy crescendos on the album and I think it's a refreshing approach

First time I can say a GYBE album actually sucks. Anthem for No State suite is wonderful, but the others are pretty bad, especially the Bosses Hang suite.

Have these fuckers ever put a shift in or do they just sit around their converted loft ‘musing’ and plucking at their harps?
|

i hear they travel and do shows

They actually come to France (and so I suppose Europe) just about every year to tour, it's always a special moment imo

Yeah, they tour Europe a lot as far as I'm concerned

"Yeah but its mostly in canada, dont think they like the states"
well they are anarchists so I wouldn't think so

Well the states are moving more toward libertarianism and states rights which is a step toward anarchy so that’s a shitty excuse. I think you mean the opposite and mean that they’re mad that US is moving further away from their socialistic point of view.
Regardless the album sucks. I’m trying to like it but outside of the last suite, it’s bad. You can’t support socialism and anarchy. That’s like oil and water.

"One of my favorite bands doesn't write 25 minute songs anymore. Sellouts.
*random whining*"

I’m just trying to figure out why anarchy and socialism are trying to be fed to us whenever the two can’t mesh.
|
| |
Socialism exists within groups of anarchy.
The members of Godspeed are yearning for a return to tribalism. How else can you sustain a band of 20+ members for 30 years?
