thank you...that's what I meant. "Writer in the Dark" in particular has some very raw emotion in it. I know it doesn't fit the angry/metal/angsty definition of "raw" over 90% of this site associates that word with but it's definitely the right word to describe a lot of the topics she covers in her songs here.

relistened to liability. absolutely cannot stand it. Her voice is an irritant and that's about all the there is besides some rather uninspired piano accompaniments.

well if u mean top 30 stuff? I like certain things by Daft punk, deadmou5, tinashe, cassie, paramore , ariana grandes latest, bloc party, flume, certain adele shit even . But yeah for the most part i cant stand pop music, is there something wrong with that?

You're just coming across like Doof speaking on death metal. It just doesn't work.

Other grouper releases are ambient but ruins = piano and female vox, liability = piano and female vox, going for the same plaintive tone. Closer comparison than with other pop music. I guess i'll listen to the rest and hope its better than the singles
