It's inconsistent musically, yeah, but the songs are great here so the album is great, it's that simple for me

That being said, I'll probably bump this down since I'm obvs not feeling it as well as I did 3 years ago

He didn't even play on Hybrid Theory right? I thought Brad recorded all the bass on that album. Still the only somewhat interesting bass there is on Forgotten

Yeah I've read as well he did not perform bass on HT. It ain't like the bass has ever mattered in this band

Interesting you guys point that out. Mike has said from the beginning they were never manufactured and have been a hardworking band with its original members from the off, but nobody ever mentions the fact Phoenix didn't play bass until after hybrid was released. He's not even in the one step closer music video. I've never believed they were manufactured, but when you look at that it does make you wonder.

Nah man, I'm thinking they just decided to hire someone to play bass full time like any ordinary band once they started to get more popular

Yeah Brad’s credited for bass on Hybrid Theory’s liner notes

They should've spread out the singles throughout the album instead of front-loading it then the second half being deep cuts.

Wake/Given Up/No More Sorrow/Shadow Of The Day/In Between/Bleed It Out/Hands Held High/Leave Out All The Rest/Valentine's Day/In Pieces/What I've Done/The Little Things Give You Away. Would be my track list.

This record straight-up NOSEDIVES after What I’ve Done. Only somewhat good song in that entire stretch is No More Sorrow

I disagree. Album gets better during the second half with "No More Sorrow" being my least favorite on it.

The childhood nostalgia has long since faded, but this and A Thousand Suns probably held up the best. They're the least dated in their discography.

Like you guys though, I don't love these guys let alone like them enough to recommend them. There's some solid underrated tunes lurking here though.

I'll bump it up a little bit because it's better than anything else they've made.
