On my stereo I can hear it and sadly it's a lot better than the other aspects of the music.

wait til they do an album with mr. trujillo, he has the potential to lead the band creatively in the same way that cliff did. the guy is an amazing bassist.

these guys have got a few good albums left in them yet.

but then again, this album didnt exactly help metallica in the metallica vs. megadeth thing. put this next to "the system has failed" and it proves beyond all doubt the following:

megadeth > metallica

and also mustaine > hetfield

I actually like this album.

I'm not the biggest metallica fan in general, I think they are a great band and I love the anger of this album. Its a great pissed-off record. I think people are being way too harsh on them.

I really hope they dont make another Ride the Lighting or Master of Puppets, because, I dont want to hear the same thing over and over. I think this is a step back for them...yes, but they wanted to go a different avenue.

I thought the riffs and the drums were incredible. I give them props for trying something new. I would hope that they would take elements of this album and combine them with the old stuff and make an amazing album.

Let's just see...but no reason to say "THIS IS THE WORST ALBUM EVER"

Jesus...you think this is worse than Celine Dion or Linkin Park?

Grow up...

I'm gonna agree with you on the whole "not the worst album ever thing." although, for the most part, its meant as a joke. I'm not a fan tho. And a large part of it is because they delayed this cd for so long and hyped it up so much. Bummer.

Definitely their worst album but I like it. I miss all the solos and stuff but it still is good. Great review by the way but I think 3/5

This album is still a piece of trash (not thrash). It would be acceptable if it were a new garage band or something, but these guys have been at it for over 20 years, and for some reason dumbing down your music to sound "raw" just doesn't seem like something good to do. Their '90s stuff is even better than this.

They need to get rid of Lars:

1) He sucks.
2) He's one of the main reasons why this album sounds as it does.
3) He's a prick.

If they got rid of Lars, who would make the Danish wedding cookies?

The only song that sucked was Purify. Seriously, it was just unnecessary. And Invisible Kid is too long but actually better in the rehearsals. Other than that, I fucking live this CD. So, there.
