Dude is waaaay better than average at rapping & singing let's be real. His singing on this is one of the strongest points of this album.

that's the thing. i like a lot of these vocal effected tracks, but they still make me think "i wish i could hear this without the vocal effect," and i feel like if that's the case, maybe the vocal effect isn't doing it's job. then again, i do need to listen to the full album more. i thought that about redbone when it came out, but now i've really settled in to the vocals on that one

California's still absurd, but I'm kind of liking it a bit more after some listens. Instrumental's fun, and imagining Gambino's face as he sings it is entertaining.
