I disagree with this, I think the album's artistic direction is well aware of how ridiculous some of these phrases are. Some of the videos so far have been hilarious, between *(bird shit)_*, the cheek of some of the presentation, and my personal favourite, "fuckified". Of course that might be no excuse, but I think there's a clear awareness nonetheless.

Just listened to this, I generally liked what I heard but there were some parts that irritated me too. Also since I haven't really heard Bon Iver's stuff before I had a somewhat hard time telling when the vocals are processed and when they're not.
