Despite this and Lift a Sail growing on my immensely I still agree with my own rating of their discography. Fifth favourite this is.

Such a Fall album which is weird for pop-punk. Been spinning this a lot lately.

Yeah wow. And it's only you and I haha. Album is such a perfect closure for them.

Yeah it is. It lulls a tad in the middle but the first 4 songs blow the door down and the last 2 are incredible as well. I'll never get over Fields & Fences. That song makes me so happy and sad at the same time (sorry, had to refrain from bursting into my best Kacey Musgraves impression). A Place We Set Afire is also vastly underrated and has some of the most sentimental lyrics here.

Also, Got Yours and Savior's Robes go harder than they get credit for.

Oh interesting! The middle is where the album truly shines imo. A Place We Set Afire through Empty Street is an utterly perfect run. I'm A Wrecking Ball and Saviour's Robes is where it lulls a little. Fields And Fences is incredibly emotional though.

Also, even the worst songs here mean so much to me ugghh

Oh that's strange...Leave A Light On and The Hurt Is Gone are my least favorites. Wrecking Ball isn't the best but I looove the lyrics:
On this screen I see my latest dream
On these shelves I keep my family
In this bed I watch them fall asleep
In my ears all night I hear them breathe, yeah
As someone who progressed through life listening to this band every stage along the way, it really means something to have him singing about stuff like this on their last album right as I bought a house and had a son with my wife.

I remember when I first heard Rest in Peace and watched the music video, shedding some tears over losing this gem of a band. Will forever be a favorite

honestly the sentiment of this album is what makes it a classic to me, not the music.

Leave the Light On really drags and is by far the low point of the album imo.

Agreed. I'll also never understand why they chose The Hurt is Gone as a big single to promote; it's okay but one of the least memorable songs they've ever written. I can go on about how great these guys are for days, but one thing they sucked at was picking singles. After L&S they sort of lost it.

I like The Hurt Is Gone more than at least 3 tracks on here tbh
But thats not saying much

The Hurt Is Gone is a bad single but I actually really like it

I mean, Here I Am Alive was a fine song but why would you pick it as a single over Awakening??

Never realized it, but it really is true. Light Up the Sky, Here I Am Alive and One Bedroom are probably my least favorite songs on their respective albums.

Rest in Peace is too good
need to spend more time with this one. never really gave it the attention it deserved

wait the lead single for Paper Walls was Light Up The Sky and not The Takedown or Five Becomes Four or Shrink The World ??? there were so many good options on that album
