I really don't understand what the problem is with saying 'fuck' from a religious point of view

The production on this just keeps impressing me more and more. It walks the line between raw and polished really nicely.

im listening to the singles from this just for my inner 14 year olds curiosity
Forever Hurtling is actually pretty enjoyable

The thing is, you can't even tell that is what he's saying. I only realized it because of reading the lyrics. I thought he was saying "i'm not fooling around". I'd love to hear how many people without reading the lyrics could tell that's what he was saying. Silly how hung up people can get sometimes.

Yeah the first 40 seconds of that song are absolutely solid; love that riffage and then the guest spot at the end too.

The guest spot on it was used kind of weakly though.

Death is a Living Partner's frantic chorus slays me. The vocal performance on this album generally is phenomenal. Their lyrics are often kinda meh but the delivery is just so on point.

Lyrics on the last album were pretty great

I mean they're like...semi-cheesy but not cringey.
Edit: Wait if Cory is a Christian, what the hell is the first song about? Sounds kinda anti-theist.
|

Most of the lyrics are really good, I love the lyrics on "Everyone Talking Over Everyone Else". Lyrics on the first track probably have some special meaning but it's pretty ambiguous, however I don't think Cory would profess his faith and then write lyrics that didn't reflect that. He's always seemed like a cool, honest guy from my brief interactions with him at shows, super nice dude.
