"I can't describe what I think about the t/t. It's like... different than the rest of the album."

It's the best one too.

@tastepolice what's this album's story behind it? Doesn't seem like there was any big singles to come out of this

A rare 5 by Toad :O

No doubt this is a fantastic album but Nick's voice is a little too loud in the mix and considering how many layers there are to the music, I find it somewhat annoying how compressed the production is. Also find it slightly bothersome how abrupt the ending to the songs are

Nah. The vocals are a very clear highlight and the mix is appropriate accordingly.

Like, compression isn't an issue.

But even if it was - the tears are real Fam

I feel bad for having lived down under for 8 years and not ever hearing about this guy.

I would probably appreciate this more if I had listened to his prior work, and fully understood the context of the record. The death of his son definitely gives it more emotional value, but that is the only thing I really find intriguing here.

Blast away, I very much know the foundation of my opinion is shallow. What would be a good starting record of his to check out?

Pretty crazy to see two albums (this and new The Deer Hunter) both sitting on 4.5/>
