Neither tbh, but it's pretty damn catchy. Vheissu does well by opening with it and then following up with Between the End and The Earth Will Shake (both of which are among their best imo)

Beyond those two songs, Vheissu is fucking perfection.

image of the invisible is anthemic af, surely an underrated tune considering how much love vheissu gets otherwise

It's sweet, but the album truly kicks into high gear at The Earth Will Shake.

Nah, the bridge at the end is way out of Muse's territory (excluding vocals), and it's so focalised on Dustin's voice that the comparison is kinda unfair. The first two thirds instrumentally aren't too far off, I'll give you

For Miles is by far their best song IMO. By far. Then it's Beggars, which is by far the second-best song, again IMO.

When Dustin's harsh vox come in on For Miles it gives me straight up chills. I wonder if he just can't do screams like that anymore. Don't see shit like that on M/M or this.

Have you heard Anthology (the live album)? He tears it up on that.

"True but when a band takes a 5 year hiatus saying they haven't done a certain thing "for a while now" is somewhat redundant"

It's not redundant because they've two albums since Beggars

"M/M is definitely better than Beggars. I think most fans would agree with that."

that is definitely not the consensus lol

It has been five years since they last wrote and released a studio album.

I like this on first listen but some of it sounds like contemporary worship music to me and that rubs me a weird way

vheissu was good for its time obv. but now there's only like 3 songs on it (+ flags of dawn) I've ever felt like listening to in the last 8 years

To be fair, Major/Minor suffered far more from that.
