Never really jammed much James Blake before apart from a few songs on Overgrown. I was stunned at this, I dunno whether something clicked or if this album is different than his last ones but this is probably the biggest surprise of the year for me and my AOTY so far. The only song I don’t really care for is Always, everything else is stellar.

Jammed it in full 3 times, I’d say my faves atm are; Radio Silence, Timeless, Put That Away, I Hope My Life, Forest Fire and Meet You in The Maze. The production on this album is so encapsulating when listening with good headphones. The synthesiser work at the end of Timeless is probably my fave part of the album.

Maybe a couple of songs could have been cut and used as bonus tracks since it is a bit lengthy, but still, a superb album overall.

I'm actually really looking forward to this as I quite liked Overgrown and the first song on this sounded better than 90% of that album

Could easily be better than the new Radiohead. Not a lot between Overgrown and KoL in terms of quality for me

Doof I would say Radio Silence is I've of the best on here but this album is definitely much better than Overgrown.

I think we have to acknowledge the possibility that we could be in for another HTTT but I'm staying optimistic (pun intended)

httt is a cluttered mess. that's not to say it's bad by any means, but it is what it is

and this could easily turn out better than the new radiohead
