Meridian is definitely a grower, but I actually like it better than Cardinal now.

I said this in my sound off, but the line in Problems that goes: "& all of my problems / it's so stupid / they're not even problems!"

is like the perfect Pinegrove lyric, in that it seems a bit silly just written down but it's so goddamn perfect when you hear it sung

Do it, Ben, and then lower it later, and then redo it. It's just one of those albums. :P I might 4 it after a few more listens. I like it a lot, just don't find it easy enough to get through, despite its length.

Haha yeah I may just do that, knocked a 5 down recently so there is a space up there waiting for it. Huh really? Thats interesting, I had it and the live album on repeat all day yesterday, just doesnt seem to get old on me. What about it do you think makes it hard to get through?

I find the live album a lot easier to listen to, to be honest. I'm not too sure what it is, the long songs just feel very long - I think it's something to do with how kinda dense (like, not obtuse, just length) the lyrics are on some of them. With Cadmium for instance, the subtle changes in melody make it feel a lot longer than it is, sorta like Julien Baker's Good News. That's my guess, I might just be too unfamiliar with it.

Just listened to Elsewhere for the first time, it's pretty good of course but I don't see myself ever going for it over this... I'll probably give it another few listens but that'll be it most likely.
