This would be a 2-3 if it were from anyone else. Quality wise this is kinda bleh. Makes me wonder what Lady Gaga's farewell album will warrant. Prolly a 4.4 and sound just like this. We get it. He died. Death isn't some new invention. It's been around for about 13 billion years. But his death has nothing to do with how crappy this sounds aurally. Album sounds pretty bad.
I wonder what this album would get if either he faked his death or just randomly released this for the sake of releasing it. I doubt it would be a 4.4. Rating a 5 because he died is retarded

Lol. You know if this was just some random Bowie album it would be 3.5-3.7 max. But he dies so the music just clicks so 4.4

It's a strong album, the average only went a 0.2 up after his death. Plus he planned the context in advance and it informed the art.
You're allowed not to like it though, no one should rate something high purely out of respect

A boundary expanding work of art about personal demise that was unlocked as a result of Dave carking it and had the whole world eulogising as one due to its blatent greatness.
It's a tad better than A lot Like birds prattling on about traipsing around a house.

Boundary expanding is the best possible summary you could give for this.

All albums start out high and dwindle down. This probably wouldve done the same but he died a couple days after it released and so the Internet lost their minds. The album itself is pretty poor. Kinda drags and groans

Mulholland Drive>Donne Darko
Also why does TDAG still get so much praise for being a mediocre album?

About the same reason this gets praise for being mediocre. Well rephrase. Jesse hasn't died yet but when he does and leaves a farewell it'll probably be more than a 4.4 on here cuz you know everyone loves TDAG.
But for real though idk why that album was brought up but it's definitely better than this

Lol. TDAG is leagues better than this for sure. At least Jesse doesn't sound like a girl being hit in the twat on her period
