I know this is posthumous but I still wish it wasn't so so long

That's how I felt on my first listen too (I'm assuming this is your first - please correct me if I'm mistaken), but as I gave this comp more chances and each track took its time to sink in, I began to view the length as a positive - a testament to the sheer amount of quality material on offer here. "Bermondsey Stutter" is even better than anything on Crazy on the Weekend for me and "Never Seen the Sea" is close behind; I'd even go as far as to call the former one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time, though COTW is a top 5 album.

There are some really good songs but so much of it is so similar sounding its hard to make things stand out ):

This one definitely doesn't hold together as an "album" (not that it's supposed to - it's a compilation) but I adore the atmosphere it creates. Yeah not every song is amazing but it has a lovely feel to it throughout.

For me this is the runner-up AOTD, only behind High Violet - a purely perfect collection of folk music by one of the greatest undiscovered songwriters of the past 25 years.

Rmenber that fella at school who was an absolute whirlwind, you had nothing in common but your worlds collided because there’s was such a maelstrom of chaos you just got sucked in and lumbered with it and you did your best…to do your best to try and think they might try their best.
The bloke was always a disaster but you knew they clearly had something that nobody else had and they a tenacity to do something that nobody else could ever copy, even if they wanted to do it.
Gav from Bermondsey to Stoke.
You’re a geezer.
RIP
