I'm being a little harsh here as I still haven't heard anything beyond the single, I spun Ghost Stories a couple of times instead for now and I really don't get the appeal - sound like a band really coasting on existing fan goodwill



Problem I have is when this band came out they seemed like The Bends watered down by Travis mellow jangle and settled as the less edgy alternative to Elbow - they were always a third rate act from the start for anyone around at the time, petrol garage bargain bin stuff. I worked at a department store in 2000 and they used to play 'parachutes' as background music for chrissakes



Then Chris Martin became the most unlovable frontman in 'rock' this side of Bono, the naff eternal student worthy worthy drippy drippy supernerd. Type 'did rock music die in the year 2000?' into Google and this band's wiki page will load up.

Ghost Stories had some great singles like Midnight and Magic but then you had ASFOS.
