^ Yeah I was at a show from that tour on my birthday. That was was the reason I started listening to Intronaut and seeing them live made them one of my favorite bands.

I think plenty of these tracks display emotion, namely the outro in Unlikely Event.

Sul tho. Those off time riffs

these guys are awesome and instrumentally flawless live. i was pretty lukewarm on them until i saw them on that tour with meshuggah and animals as leaders a few years back
agreed I've seen them once before, with Deafheaven and BTBAM I think. The other bands played great but Intronaut was probably my favorite that night. So groovy
I saw them on both of these tours, they were better than Messhugah and AAL.
Deafheaven were not very good live imo BTBAM was great though.

Struggling to get into this record. Can't find anything interesting about it on a personal scale, even though objectively, it is chock-a-block full of ideas. Maybe in time, but right now, it is just a slog to get through. Hopefully that'll change; a 4.2 average must count for something, even if that average is ultimately subjective.

ALRIGHT so this is probably my favorite prog release of 2015.

lets not get ahead of ourselves, meshuggah puts on one of the best live shows ever

Just received the vinyl (black, etched), it's amazing.

I'm not saying Messhugah were bad but their performance wasn't that impressive that night. Intronaut finished off their set with Any Port, kind of hard to beat.
They aren't always the best band but that night they were on it.

Like Artuma, I'm struggling to like this that much. It's definitely proficient and well-structured but it's doing nothing to really pull me in.

i can vouch for intronaut being great live sometimes, i saw them once back when prehistoricisms came out and they were amazing. kylesa was amazing back then too. both bands were about 200000000x better than mastodon who headlined.

I've heard mastodon being boring by many people that I know who saw them. I might see Intronaut with BTBAM and Enslaved in december

Mastodon are lifeless live.

yeah ive seen them twice and they are one of the most boring soulless bands ive ever had the displeasure of seeing on stage both times

Like I get concentrating on playing tight but they can't even do that!

That's a shame to hear how bad they are live. They have lots of energy, so you'd think it wouldn't kill them to show a little of that on stage.

That sucks because if I heard anything off Leviathan live, I'd be under the impression it would wreck and be awesome to see. However, from many accounts, that just doesn't seem to be the case.

quite the contrary for me, both times i saw them they were too tight, like it came off as if they were just playing their albums through the PA note for note exactly as they sound like i literally could have just stayed home and listened to their albums on MP3 and had pretty much the exact same experience the only difference being that i wouldnt have to be bored stupid by their dumbass 'foot up on the amp dweedle fucking dweedle' bullshit and the absolutely retarded visual backdrop of a fucking cripple in a wheelchair hurdling at top speeds through space with brief transitions to rasputins face for 2 hours cuz i could have just watched i-tunes visualizer instead and probably have been much more engaged tbh
