Keidis has NEVER been a good lyricist, but this is one of his worst outings. At least on albums like By the Way he kept the cringe-worthy material to a minimum. That being said, the first disc of this is a lot of fun to spin in the summertime, brings back some good memories..

Yeah the lyrics are hilariously bad here. Don't get me wrong i used to love this band, BSSM is still
one of my favorites, but they sound really washed up on this album

You have to understand major labels, RHCP is signed under a major label (Warner Bros.)

What is the major record labels goal??? TO MAKE MONEY....not to release great music. If you want great music start by looking in the INDIE section.

Warner Bros basically controls RHCP, all RHCP needs to do is to make a Hit single and release it on a snazzy double album (the album is a snoozefest, if you dont already know) Following that pattern makes the MOST MONEY for the LEAST EFFORT. MAYBE RHCP was great before, but this album is truly a sell-out.

I asked like 50 people if they heard of RHCP, the people who said yes I asked what songs do they like....Pretty much ONLY Dani California. They judge how good a band is because of ONE song....THIS IS WHAT WARNER BROS. WANTS.
